G-Code Cloud: Quick Guide to Managing Programs

Your file directory can be managed directly from the Command Center.

Finding & Viewing Files

  • Browse: Click through folders on the left, view contents on the right.

  • Search: Type part of a file/folder name to jump straight to it.

  • Preview: Text/G-code, PDFs, images, video, STL, and Word docs all preview in-browser. Very large files may need to be downloaded instead.

Uploading a Program

  1. Open the destination folder in Programs.

  2. Click Upload, or drag and drop files (folders keep their structure).

  3. Add a short note describing the change.

  4. Submit — this either creates a change request for approval or applies immediately, depending on your permissions.

Note: Uploads are capped around 180 MB per batch — split larger sets if needed.

Editing a File

  1. Open the file → Edit.

  2. Make your changes in the built-in editor.

  3. Save with a brief description of what changed.

  4. A reviewer approves and publishes (unless you have skip-approval rights).

Organizing Files

With write access, use Organize on any folder to select multiple files/folders and Move or Delete them in bulk.

Downloading

  • Single file: open it → Download

  • Entire workspace: from root → Download, or from Activity Feed → Download Programs (delivers a programs.zip)

Quick Troubleshooting

Issue

Fix

No Upload/Edit/Organize buttons

You need write permission — ask your admin

Upload always requires approval

Normal, unless your role has skip-approval rights

Can't approve

Need approve permission; can't approve your own request

"Existing file will be replaced"

Confirms you're intentionally overwriting a file at that path

Upload stopped mid-way

Choose retry, finish, or discard on the prompt

File won't preview

Download it — very large/unusual files may not render

Can't publish

A conflict with newer changes — coordinate and try again
